What This Is An Organization Analysis & Design profile categorizes and generalizes an individuals personality and psychological traits. A questionnaire lists phrases and words that describe personality attributes; the taker of the test determines which traits apply to them. The results are shown below; I agree with most of the conclusions but not all. I have not changed a word of the results. How This Came About A client was using OAD to see how their staff "meshed". Since I was consulting on-site at the time, I participated. The amusing part of this process, is that most of the group I worked with refused to take the test. It was NOT anonymous, and they feared retribution based on the results; this alone probably spoke volumes about group and corporate dynamics! Profile Results Fairly strong sense of urgency… Will display some adaptability with shifting priorities and deadlines, and responsiveness to immediate pressures… can modify work pace to cope with some routine and repetition. Fairly assertive and self-confident… likes tasks that provide some latitude and discretion… Will be more cautious when faced with problems that are perceived as risk-oriented… more of a generalist than a specialist… prefers to delegate detail. Open and friendly… comfortable making new acquaintances and working with people… effective within a team atmosphere… seeks input and ideas from other people… tries to show some flexibility in adapting to group needs and decisions. Likes people contact… enjoys participating in "socially" oriented activities… congenial and more expressive by nature… generates enthusiasm for ideas and actively tries to make other people feel involved. Self-assured with a sales-oriented nature… enthusiastic - persists in seeking acceptance for personal views… more of a general communicator who appeals to the needs of others. Impatient… presses self and others to get assignments done quickly and correctly. A very controlled person who only cautiously divulges personal feelings or demonstrates personal emotions. Can be perceived by others to be detached or uncaring, but, in fact, may be sympathetic. By keeping emotions concealed, appears to handle stress well and usually resolves issues with "logic" [I am Spock! -teb]. Potentially a fairly creative individual who comes up with new ideas or solutions to problems (actual exhibited creativity will be enhanced or compromised by education, experience, and intelligence). An innovative person who approaches problems in a less structured manner. Has some degree of behavioral versatility, and will show some flexibility in adjusting behavior in response to different people and situations.
